In a Golf Magazine publication titled "Top 100 Value Courses in the US: The Best Courses You Can Play for $150 or Less," two very popular courses here on the island of Kauai were included. Wailua Golf Course ranked #78 and Puakea Golf Course ranked in at #81. These two courses were the only golf courses in the entire state of Hawaii to be mentioned in the article.
In addition, the municipal Wailua Golf Course ranked #26 on a different list of Top 30 Municipal Golf Courses in America, which was published this past June.
“We are so pleased with the GOLF Magazine ‘value courses’ ranking because it illustrates the variety of courses we have here on Kauai,” said Sue Kanoho, executive director of the Kauai Visitors Bureau, in a statement. “Visitors can enjoy a bucket-list resort course one day, and then play a top value course the next – it’s part of what makes Kauai the perfect destination for golfers.”
