Kaua'i Now reports that three towns on the island of Kaua'i were named among the "Top 8 Most Neighborly Towns in Hawaii," according to WorldAtlas.
The first of all towns on the list was Hanalei. World Atlas recognized a few areas that are centers of culture, art, nature and community in Hanalei including:
- Waiʻoli Huiʻia Church.
- Havaiki Oceanic and Tribal Art.
- Limahuli Garden and Preserve.
- Hanalei Bread Company.
- Waipa Farmers Market.
Hanapepe was the next Kaua'i town mentioned. Hanapepe Art Night every Friday night has been a long-standing tradition. Some other places that served, or are currently places of retreat or connection were also mentioned. They include:
- Hanapēpē Swinging Bridge.
- Hanapēpē Salt Ponds.
- Hanapēpē Valley Lookout.
- Lappert’s Hawaiʻi.
Kōloa was the last Kaua'i town named on the list. Kōloa was recognized for preservation of heritage and festivals that celebrate the towns past. Several places in Kōloa were also mentioned as they bring together nature and history. They include:
- Kōloa Heritage Trail.
- Poʻipū Beach Park.
- Moir Gardens.
- Kōloa Fish Market.
