A total of $3.18 million of state funding has been allocated to the improvement of three sports facilities on Kauai. The CIP funding includes $1,680,000 for wind strength upgrades at Kilauea Gymnasium, $1 million for new amenities at Hanapepe Stadium, and $500,000 to finance a new sports complex in Anahola.
The Kilauea Gymnasium is part of the Kilauea Neighborhood Center, where numerous community-related activities are offered to all different ages groups.
