One year after entering the Hawaii market, Compass Hawaii has opened two new offices in the state – The Kailua Office is a 1,474-square-foot office located at 629 Kailua Rd., Kailua and The Kukuliula Office is a 1,038-square-foot located at 2829 Kalanikaumaka St. in Koloa on Kauai. "We are really excited to celebrate two of our official openings and blessing celebrations," Margaret Reynolds, former president of the West Hawaii Association of Realtors and current Compass Hawaii Big Island and broker of record for Hawaii said in a statement. "Many of the very best agents across the state are reinforcing Compass’ mission of 'helping everyone find their place in the world' everyday by choosing Compass as their brokerage.
We are very proud of Hawaii’s agents and their incredible productivity, and we look forward to future banner years." The brokerage a year ago expanded across Hawaii bringing in agents across Maui, Hawaii Island, Kauai and Oahu, according to officials with the company. To date, Compass Hawaii has made more than $1.4 billion in combined sales across its Hawaii markets. Year-to-date the brokerage has made $296,130,904 in sales on Maui; $430,485,366 in sales on Hawaii Island; $254,416,900 in sales on Kauai; and $496,815,070 sales on Oahu, representing, 3.59%, 5.96%, 7.62% and 5.95% of the market share, respectively, according to data provided by Compass.
According to the company, its Maui office was sixth on Maui in a ranking of brokerages by sales volume, while its Kauai office grew to be the fourth largest brokerage on the island when measured by sales volume. "The local housing market continues to thrive as the median single family home price on Oahu has surpassed $1 million," Julie Meier, broker in charge of Compass Oahu’s Kailua Office and treasurer for the Hawaii Association of Realtors, said in a statement. "With housing demand exceeding supply on Oahu and interest rates still at an all-time low, we anticipate the market to remain strong in 2022.
"The westside continues to be desirable with the growth of Oahu’s second city. We will continue to see growth in the sales of North Shore properties," she said. "The Covid pandemic has many residents and visitors working from home. Why not buy the beach house and watch the waves as you do your work?"
