Wailua Golf Course was recently ranked No. 26 in Golf magazine’s list of 30 best municipal courses in America. Out of the top 30 municipal courses, Wailua ranked first in offering the least expensive prices for locals, starting at $15 weekdays and $1 for residents under the age of 18, with monthly rates of $60 and special rates for seniors. Non-Resident Play Card $215. Basically saving you $5 per round for 5 rounds which gives you five 18-hole rounds; not usable on weekends or holidays. One card per person expires 3 months from date of purchase.
First built as a 9-hole golf course in the 1930’s. The second 9 holes were added in 1961. The course was designed by Toyo Shirai. It has hosted 3 USGA Amateur Public Links Championships and is voted by Golf Digest as one of Hawaii’s best 15 golf courses. Also rated #3 course in Hawaii by The Golf Channel.
There are approximately 2,900 municipal courses in the U.S. and Wailua Golf Course ranked in the top 1%
of all municipal courses in the nation.
Tee Time Reservations: For 2 or more players, may be made up to 7 days in advance.
Beginners and slow players are requested to start after 12 noon.
Afternoon Twilight Play: Starts at 2:00 daily.
Morning Twilight Play: Starts same time as the first tee from the #10 tee for 9-holes only.
